Title: Social worker, be strong blogger

What I do for a living…
I’m a school social worker. I and support students who find themselves dealing with social, emotional and mental health issues.

Why I love what I do
I am honoured that every day, students feel safe, and open in sharing their struggles, worries and accomplishments with me. It’s wonderful to empower students to create a new ways of doing and being life.

If I could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, it would be
Barack and Michelle Obama. I would love to see how they are coping with the pressure and expectations that they have to live up to. Cute chef Curtis Stone, please prepare the dinner!

I can’t live without my
Chapters Reward Card. I’m addicted to books. Love books by Maya Angelou, Mitch Albom, Jodi Picoult and Malcolm Gladwell.

The best advice I was ever given
embrace each day with enthusiasm - – for today you will learn something new about yourself and others. Be yourself and be true to yourself.

How I find my strength within
by surrounding myself with positive and supportive family and friends. Laughter and humour really helps be me overcome difficult challenges.
