swigg parents

swigg Parents…

Thanks for taking the time to get to know us.

swigg stands for the Strength With In Girls Group.  We are a not for profit organization with a focus on creating environments that allow teen girls the opportunity to share, learn and lead.  Our initial program started with the development of the Strength Within Conference series held in Milton Ontario.  The conferences promote healthy self esteem through education and connections to community role models and programs.  Our main pillars are:  Health, Leadership, Financial Literacy & Community Engagement.

With the support of our partners we have now extended our reach by creating www.swiggtalk.com.  This website will allow girls to connect, share and learn throughout the year and as issues arise in their lives.  It is important to understand that swigg encourages teens to openly discuss what is on their minds.  This means that our swigg team bloggers will focus their content on topics that relate to teen issues, such as sexuality, body image, mental health, bullying, fitness, money issues etc. It is also important to understand that the swigg team bloggers are considered experts in their areas of discussion.

swigg is keenly aware and has taken all measures possible to protect the privacy of the girls who choose to participate on our site.  swigg understands and has complied with Canadian internet laws & regulations.  For further information on this, please read our privacy policy online.

Membership access to www.swiggtalk.com will allow girls the freedom to engage in open discussions related to the content posted on the site in our interactive community.  It is our primary goal to ensure that the content and discussions are safe, respectful and appropriate for the girls using the site.  All members joining swigg must agree to the terms and conditions of using our swigg site which include using the site as a positive means of communication and with a consciousness of respect for others using the site.  Any inappropriate postings will be removed and users are encouraged to inform the swigg team to expedite this process.
