Do You Always Feel Stressed? Start the NEW YEAR Fresh With These Five Tips - By Swiggtalk.

Do you find our society is so fast paced now? We asked Swigg Girl, Nadir to give us an example of her day.
Nadir gets up at 7 AM and walks her little sister to school for 8 AM. She goes to school all day and then right after school has band practice and then rushes to dance practice. Nadir gets picked up by her mom and eats her dinner in the car to make it to a part-time job in retail. Nadir works until 9 PM and then comes home for a night of homework and studying which involves cramming to get the marks she needs to get into the university program she wants.
It seems we can get so over taxed with so many commitments in our lives that we forget how to laugh and have fun.
Follow these SWIGG Rules to take back your own time.
1. Set aside “me time”. Commit to ½ an hour a day to do something that you want to do and increase it by 15 minutes every day until you get to an hour or more.
2. If you have a big project that is hanging over you and you never have time to even look at it, use your cell phone to send a text to yourself when ideas pop into your head. For example, while you are at work or at band practice you may have an idea for how to write your essay. If you text it to yourself or write it down, you will feel like you’re getting something done and that you can still take your ½ an hour to yourself when you get home.
3. When you are studying, set a timer for a period of time. When the bell rings, give yourself a break by going for a ten minute walk or do some cooking.
4. Prioritize your tasks. Use a sticky note and write down the tasks you have to complete and then number them in order of importance. Focus on #1 first and get it out of your mind. By the way, you can get a sticky note ap on your smartphone or use the sticky note function on your computer too.
5. Every week send an email to one of your girlfriends and invite them out for a walk, a coffee or a shopping trip. Girlfriends are your greatest allies in life and the stronger those ties are the happier and more relaxed you will be. Remember, you need to know there is always someone in your corner.
