Swiggtalk Arts Reporter, Lindra, recently interviewed female sculptor, Nancy Cuttle, who has created this incredible life-size sculpture of a woman made of plaster and fencing wire.
1. How did you get interested in art/who inspired you?
For as long as I can recall I have always had a strong interest in art and design, however it was not until my Grade 11 art class that I discovered how much I truly loved art.
Did you know that the art of Henna is a common Indian tradition and that many Indian brides and grooms have a “Night of Henna” before they get married to celebrate the event and bring good luck?
We have been recieving a variety of poetry from Swigg Girls and we have selected to share this beautiful, haunting, and hopeful piece written by Julia H. (Age 18). It was written after she took a school trip to Poland.
I came across this amazing video of a young female artist experimenting with an interesting new form of art. What it made me think of is the power of the creative spirit. The message to me in this video is that if you are not afraid to try something new it's amazing what the results can be. What are some of your creative strengths and how can you apply them?
